New York, NY (December 1, 2006) — On December 1, 2006, the United Young Artist Foundation (UYAF) proudly announced its official beginnings with the 2006 Commencement Media Conference, sponsored by Goodwin Procter LLP. Over 100 guests enjoyed an evening of video, spoken word, music, and discussion—all while exploring the concept of art and how it is defined by various mediums all over the world.

In addition to the performances, dozens of media representatives, community groups, and non-profit organizations took the opportunity to learn more about UYAF and interview various key members of the organization, including CEO and Chairman of the Board Sonia Yi. This networking opportunity provided everyone with a better understanding of how UYAF fits into the larger picture and fastened some powerful connections that emerging artists will be able utilize in the future.
